For any westerner, visiting India for the first time means stepping into a new and completely different world. It is this first impression that Alex Woods and Fabien Juge-Le Carrer aimed to capture when setting off on their journey which took them from the Thar desert in Rajasthan (near the Pakistan border), down to the lush tropical coastal waters and backwaters of Kerala in the very south of the subcontinent.
